“Return to us, Adonai, and we will return. Renew our days as of old.”

The High Holy Days are a time of both return and renewal. Where we have gone astray, we return to the right path. Where we have fallen short, we turn over a new leaf. Each year, these holy days offer us a gift: to come together as a community and engage in this process of teshuvah (return/repentance) and transformation. We hope you will celebrate with the Temple Beth Torah community as we welcome in the new year.

Temple Beth Torah will be holding multi-access services throughout the High Holy Days, some of which will be ASL interpreted. Please see the schedule of services below.

The Zoom link to attend any ONLINE service will be in the Thursday weekly bulletins.

  • Please click here to sign up to receive the bulletin.

Members: There is no registration required to attend services this year. Please check in at the front table before the service to pick up your nametag.

Guests/Non-Members: There is no fee to attend any of our services, although donations are encouraged and always appreciated. Please click here to donate and choose the "High Holidays" field. If you plan to join TBT for any of the High Holy Day services, please contact Engagement Coordinator Ann Danen at (510) 656-7141 or engage@bethtorah-fremont.org so we can have a nametag ready for you.

Childcare: We will offer childcare during both Rosh Hashanah morning and Yom Kippur morning services, provided we receive enough registrations in advance. Here is the link to sign up. Please not that pre-registration is required for access to childcare. The deadline to register is Friday, September 27, 2024.

For questions, please contact TBT Engagement Coordinator Ann Danen at (510) 656-7141 or engage@bethtorah-fremont.org.

High Holy Days Greeting

Save time, effort, and money while supporting WTBT. Join us in wishing each other a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year by listing your name in our community greeting card.

Complete this form and pay no later than 9/18/2024 - your contribution and payment must be received before your name(s) will be listed. Payment instructions are on the form. Please remember to indicate that your payment is for the HHD greeting, or it may delay processing, resulting in a missed opportunity to have you or your family's names included in the community greeting.

The form has the option to request a card to be sent to a family member in a retirement home, skilled nursing facility, or rehabilitation center. Please be sure to provide the family member's full name and address!

Yizkor Service and Virtual Memorial Book, 5785-2024

The holiest days of the year are soon approaching.  At this time, you may want to remember family and friends who have died by honoring their beloved memories at our Yom Kippur Yizkor (Memorial) Service. At the Yizkor Service on Yom Kippur afternoon, Rabbi Sarah will read the names of those family and friends who have passed away during the last year, since Rosh Hashanah 2023.

You can also honor your loved ones’ memories by including them in our Virtual Memorial Book. If you’d like them to be included in the book, please:

  1. Email or mail names of family and/or friends who have died since last Rosh Hashanah to engage@bethtorah-fremont.org.

  2. Send the names of other loved ones you wish to be included in the Memorial Book. If you contributed to the book last year and wish to do so again this year with no changes, you can note ‘No Changes to Last Year’s List’ when you let us know.

  3. Email any digital photos that you would like to include with your memorial. If you have multiple loved ones listed, please indicate the name of the person in each photo.

All names and photos should be emailed to admin@bethtorah-fremont.org or received in the office by Monday, 9/30. Submissions may need to be edited or resized to be included. Click here to view a copy of last year's book.

In honor of your loved ones' memory, it would be greatly appreciated if you contribute to one of our charitable funds listed below. There is no standard donation required. Any amount you give, large or small, is entirely at your own discretion.
