A Word from Rabbi Schulman - 6/5/2020
In the wake of the killing of George Floyd, it is tempting to give in to rage.
As protestors fill the streets of our nation’s cities, our hearts cry out for justice.
As the president orders combat troops to deploy in our nation’s capital, our anger swells.
As looters ransack businesses, we are appalled at their wanton destruction.
This past week, hot emotions flood our bodies. But emotions alone will not suffice as the US roils in turmoil.
That’s why I have asked Jack Weinstein to speak to our congregation tonight. There is no one I know who has a deeper grasp of race relations in the United States. There is no one who is better equipped to help us think about what is transpiring in our country.
Jack’s address is entitled, “I Can’t Breathe.” Do not miss it.
Our Shabbat Service will be at 7:30pm.
