A Word from Rabbi Schulman - 4/19/19

As the sun sets this evening, Passover will arrive. Like the multiple symbols on the Seder plate, there are many ways to greet family and friends during this festival.

You can wish one another Chag Sameach – Happy Holy Day.

Or you can add in a specific greeting for Passover by saying Chag Pesach Sameach

.

If you are punctilious about observing the laws of keeping kosher during Pesach, you can wish someone Chag Kasher V’Sameach, may your Passover be kosher and happy.

One of my favorite greetings during this holiday is to offer the Yiddish phrase, A Zissen Pesach, a sweet Passover.

However you say it, may your greetings and celebration during the Festival of Passover be filled with joy and meaning.
