A Word from Rabbi Schulman - 2/3/17

If ever there was a need to prove the value of World Interfaith Harmony Day, now is the time. Since the inauguration of Donald Trump, religious minorities, especially Muslims, have felt under assault by the president’s executive orders.

The primary purpose of our local interfaith harmony day is to create a safe and educational environment for people to learn from one another. The first part of the event consists of an open forum with 12 tables displaying information and resources about different faith traditions.

The second part of the event will be round table conversations. Each table will receive the same two questions which are meant to foster sharing. These small group discussions are optimal for creating dialogue and learning.

World Interfaith Harmony Day will be held Saturday, from 1:00 to 3:30pm at Niles Discovery Church. The address is 36600 Niles Blvd in Fremont. Especially if you have never attended, I encourage you to go. You will be enriched by the experience.
