A Word from Rabbi Schulman - 4/8/16

The Passover Seder is a sumptuous feast, resplendent with various foods that symbolize the story of our people’s liberation from the slavery of Egypt. In anticipation of this great event which occurs two weeks from tonight, I would like to offer some tasty appetizers. Hopefully they will add new flavors to your celebration of Pesach and enhance the meaning of your Seder.

Interfaith Families is a helpful organization that offers a positive perspective on the challenges and opportunities many face at this time of year. Here is a link to their Passover Guide. For those looking for resources on the theme of justice, which is so central to the story of Passover, the American Jewish World Service has compiled an inspiring set of readings which weaves our people’s tale of liberation with the stories of people today who seek justice and freedom for themselves. As we approach the holiday of Passover, don’t forget that this year Temple Beth Torah will be hosting a Women’s Seder on Thursday night, April 14. This special evening is a wonderful celebration. For further information and to make a reservation to attend, go here.
