July 2022 Important Announcements



  • We applaud and thank each family that participated in our Fremont Green Challenge double 60x60 goal for Temple Beth Torah's 60th anniversary on 6/24. With 219 completed greening actions, the TBT community far surpassed the goal of double 60x60 (120) completed actions. We can't stop here. Let's keep going! Please join our next meeting (TBA in August) with Patrick Jurney to learn new ideas. Join Rabbi Zoe, TBT board members, and our TBT community, and sign up today!   • July Shabbat services will be in-person at **7:30pm, in order to experience the simple joy of Shabbat with your friends in the sanctuary without the complications of technology. For those who are unable to attend in-person, we will be offering virtual Shabbat blessings and Mourner's Kaddish at 6:30pm via Zoom. Advance registration is NOT required to attend any of our services. The Zoom link for the *6:30pm virtual Shabbat blessings will be provided in the weekly email the day prior to the service. Attend Shabbat wherever you are!

    • The exception will be our July ShaBBQ Shabbat Service on Friday, 7/29

      • *The 7/29 virtual Shabbat blessings & Mourner's Kaddish portion will begin at 6:00pm

      • **The 7/29 ShaBBQ Shabbat service will be in-person only, but begin at 6:30pm

  • On Wed, 7/13 at 7:00pm, Rabbi Zoe will participate in an online panel of local Jewish women clergy to discuss "Reproductive Rights: Where are we? Next Steps?" through Jewish Silicon Valley. Following the panel, there will be a facilitated community conversation with participants and panelists. Advanced registration is required. For details and to register, click here.

  • It's not too late to join Fitness instructor Sherri Plaza for FREE virtual exercise classes from the comfort of your own home, running now through July. All are welcome and options are offered to accommodate abilities and injuries. Sign up and attend as many sessions as you want of one or both FREE "Gentle Yoga" and "Keep It Moving" classes. Click here for details and registration information
