April 2022 Important Announcements

GENERAL NEWS & IMPORTANT UPCOMING INFORMATION

  • WTBT invites the women of our community (and guests) to join Rabbi Zoe and Cheryl Cohen for a multi-access pre-Passover Rosh Chodesh "Sing, Study and Schmooze" next Thursday, 4/7 at 7:00pm. Rabbi Zoe will lead us in singing tunes from our Daughters of Miriam Haggadah that we have used during our Women’s Seders. Together, we will set an intention for Passover while welcoming the month of Nisan. Please click here to register.

  • There is often a misconception that women in Jewish texts and history up until recently were meek, with little agency, and respected only for their child rearing abilities. Yet, the Passover story is a prime example that this is not the case! Join us virtually on Tuesday, 4/12 at 7:00pm as we learn about some of the powerful women who defy the stereotypes. This program is part of the “What You Didn’t Learn in Religious School” series at TBT and is open to ages 12+. Click here to register. $5 donation to the Education Fund suggested.

  • On Sunday, 4/24, join us from 12-3pm at Central Park for our Community Fun Day celebrating TBT's 60th Anniversary! Schmooze and reminisce, walk the lake, enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch and snacks, and other fun activities for all ages! Click here for details, and please RSVP via email to vpmembership@bethtorah-fremont.org

  • Join us as Temple Beth Torah continues our participation in the Fremont Green Challenge. We are still challenging ourselves as households and as a community to reduce our carbon footprint and to live greener lives. Each action you choose to take on will bring us closer to our goal of having 60 greening actions in our community before our 60th anniversary in June! We need your help to accomplish this audacious goal! Check out www.fremontgreenchallenge.org for more information, and check out our Social Action page for instructions on how to participate.

  • If you know of any congregants, or any family members or friends who would like to receive email communication from TBT, please forward them this link to sign up. It's quick and easy - they just add their email address and name one time, and voila - they're automatically subscribed!

  • Beth Torah has created a Legacy Endowment with the Jewish Federation and Foundation of the East Bay. For more information, please contact Pip Ziman at pipz00@aol.com.
