Women of Temple Beth Torah

The Women of Temple Beth Torah is a women's organization with a main objective of promoting socialization, education and religiosity of our membership while promoting the values of Reform Judaism. Additionally, we are affiliated with the Western Federation of Temple Sisterhoods - WRJ, District #24 and on a national and international level with Women of Reform Judaism. Our membership is comprised of Jewish and non-Jewish women, both affiliated with our temple and non-affiliated.

As a group we do many activites in support of our Temple, community and members. Among these are:

We maintain, furbish and supply the temple kitchen and arrange for and/or supply refreshments for the Sabbath social hour and holy day observances.

The Women of Temple Beth Torah is very involved with our Religious School and provide videos and CDs for its extensive multi-media library and funds for special activities or equipment. Also, we provide camperships so that children may attend Jewish day camps, sleep-away camps and weekend camps.

We maintain a very extensive Judaic Gift Shop. The shop is stocked with items for ritual observances, Jewish household necessities, books, greeting cards, toys, games and gift items.

Our Sunshine Committee provides transportation, for those incapacitated, to doctors, hospitals and to Temple for services or functions; we provide meals to the ill or those recovering from childbirth; we provide emergency babysitting for sudden illness or other emergency.

Support your sisterhood, the Women of Temple, by joining; by supporting and attending fund-raising activities; by making our Gift Shop your first stop for all Judaica, simchas and gift-giving occasions.
