Gan Sameach

Gan Sameach Preschool (License Facility #010213705) is now accepting enrollments for the Fall 2007/2008 school year. Please contact Beth Miller, Director @ 510.651.5833 for more info.

Gan Sameach (pronounced ghan sa-May-ah) means happy garden or nursery. We offer an enriching half-day developmental preschool program and supplemental daycare for children 2 to 6 years of age. Toilet training is not required.

The teacher-child ratio is designed to ensure that each child receives individual attention to promote the best opportunity for personal growth and development.

The inviting and stimulating environment at Gan Sameach fosters a child's curiosity and imagination, encouraging social interaction and creative expression through play, music, arts and crafts. Themes throughout the year also introduce children to social studies, the natural world and language enrichment.

In keeping with its Judaic context, all children learn about Jewish traditions and observances, including Shabbat and holidays, nurturing a positive sense of Judaism and its values.

The Program

Mirroring the Fremont Unified School District calendar, the school year begins in September and ends in mid-June. Through activities they consider fun, children learn life-long skills to like themselves, to explore and discover, to problem solve, to make friends and to develop independence and social skills.
