Around The Bay
CJM PHOTO CALL
How Do You Represent Being Jewish in the Bay Area?
Shabbat taco trucks to Torah study on Mount Tam, Menorah candle lightings in Union Square, to star of David surfboards; how do you represent being Jewish in the Bay Area?
The Contemporary Jewish Museum (CJM) invites you to participate in an upcoming exhibition uniquely centered on the Bay Area Jewish Story: California Dreaming: Jewish Life in the Bay Area from the Gold Rush to the Present. Help the CJM create a portrait of the Bay Area Jewish community, in all its diversity and complexity, by sharing your photographs of what it means to be Jewish in the Bay Area. Contribute your family and personal histories and celebrate your most important milestones by uploading your photos to the CJM’s flickr group. All photos submitted will be on display in the exhibition and on the CJM’s website.
Share your important moments and be part of the story
California Dreaming: Jewish Life in the Bay Area from the Gold Rush to the Present will be on view from November 17, 2011 through October 16, 2012. Photos will be accepted throughout the exhibition.
